Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala → Queen Elizabeth National Park

07:30 AM – Meet your Miana Tours & Travel guide in Kampala/Entebbe and begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Enjoy scenic countryside views, traditional homesteads, farms, and lively roadside towns.
Make a stop at the Equator for photos, then continue to Mbarara for lunch.

Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon for a relaxing
Kazinga Channel boat cruise, famous for one of Africa’s highest concentrations
of hippos, along with elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.

Day 2: Chimp Tracking in Kyambura → Transfer to Bwindi

06:30 AM – Start the day with a guided chimpanzee trek in the breathtaking

Return to your lodge for lunch before beginning your scenic drive through the rolling
Kigezi Highlands toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Arrive at your lodge in the early evening.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi → Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing about
mountain gorilla trekking. You’ll then begin your hike—anywhere from 2 to 8 hours depending
on where the gorillas are found.

Spend a magical 1 hour with a gorilla family: watching them feed, groom, play,
and interact. Afterwards, receive your trekking certificate and return to the lodge to freshen up.

Later, transfer to the serene Lake Bunyonyi for an evening of relaxation.

Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi → Kisoro

Enjoy a slow morning before driving through Uganda’s stunning volcanic highlands toward Kisoro.

Spend one more intimate hour observing another gorilla family in its natural habitat.

Day 6: Golden Monkey Tracking

Return to Mgahinga for an energetic, playful encounter with the golden monkeys,
a rare primate species found only in the Virunga region. Their striking golden fur and lively
movements make this a delight for photographers and primate lovers.

Day 7: Kisoro → Kampala / Entebbe (Departure)

Begin your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe with scenic stops en route for photos,
refreshments, and lunch. Arrive in the evening and proceed to your hotel or directly
to the airport depending on your flight time.
