Day-by-Day Breakdown
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, transfer to Kasese. Overnight stay near Rwenzori base camp.
Day 2: Trek from Nyakalengija (1646m) through rainforest, spotting monkeys & birds, to Nyabitaba Hut (2650m).
Day 3: Cross the Mubuku River, climb through bamboo forests, and arrive at John Matte Hut (3505m) with stunning views of Mount Stanley.
Day 4: Trek across Bigo Bog using boardwalks, ascend to Bujuku Hut (3962m) beneath spectacular peaks.
Day 5: Steep climb to Elena Hut (4541m), your base for the summit attempt. Glaciers & alpine zones surround you.
Day 6: Summit day! Climb to Margherita Peak (5109m) on Mount Stanley. Descend to Kitandara Hut for overnight rest.
Day 7: Cross Freshfield Pass, descend to the lush Guy Yeoman Camp (3261m).
Day 8: Descend back through rainforest to Nyabitaba, then trailhead. Overnight in Kasese.
Day 9: Return drive to Entebbe. End of adventure.
